Lauren Boyd is a Broadway performer, currently in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton. She currently plays ensemble and understudies the principal roles of both Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. Her second Broadway show included an Original Broadway Production (OBC) of Bad Cinderella, with the esteemed and knighted Andrew Lloyd Webber. She was previously seen in the First National Tours of Wicked and West Side Story, working closely with the original creative teams for all of these Broadway productions. A native of Southern California, she trained as a competitive dancer, winning the California State Grand Championship for Novelty Tap and Straight Jazz and later trained as a classical ballet dancer, receiving full training scholarships from ballet companies such as San Francisco Ballet, School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. In 2016 she began her volunteer based Outreach Program, called Broadway Babes, which focused on teaching senior citizens how to dance while sitting in their wheelchairs. The Outreach Program Broadway Babes, along with her pandemic inspired Broadway Mentorship Program, are her pride and joy. She dedicates all of her love and support to her family and friends and is excited to share her faith and wisdom with you today.
