Joy Hammons is the Chief Executive Officer of Foreword, a leadership development and strategy consulting firm located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Foreword empowers leaders who face unprecedented challenges by integrating the power of strategy, technology, and culture. Joy served Fortune 500 corporations for over 30 years holding a broad range of leadership positions in technology before starting Foreword four years ago.
Her passion lies in coaching individual leaders and teams to success, both personally and professionally. She is certified as an EXO Consultant, a certified Life Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a previous United Way and American Heart Association Board volunteer, a previous advisory board member for Women in Technology, involved in STEM related activities, and a lifetime member of the FBI Citizens Academy. Joy is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class 32 and is also a lifetime member of that organization. She was selected to attend the U.S. Commandants National Security Summit in Carlisle, PA as a civilian participant and was selected to participate in the Tinker Commanders Program for the year 2020/2021 assigned to the US. Navy. Joy serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Philharmonic Society and she is also a member of Oklahoma Women’s Energy Network, Oklahoma Women in Technology, and Polish. Joy was appointed by the Governor as a Commissioner for the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women (OCSW) and is currently in that position.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.
